Join Quail Valley Proud on Thursday, February 11th for Meet the Candidates Night. We will introduce you to all of the candidates vying for your vote to become board members of the Quail Valley Fund HOA.
This is a critically important night as Quail Valley residents should carefully consider who they will vote to be a part of the HOA board. The Quail Valley Fund HOA works on behalf of the community, sets community policies, enforces those policies, and works with City Officials to promote positive growth, security, and stability in the community.
There are quite a few candidates this year. Two candidates are incumbents, meaning they are currently serving on the board.
The candidates are as follows (alphabetical order by last name):
Kent Butler (Incumbent): Kent has lived in Quail Valley for 10 years. Kent is a proud current member of the QVF HOA Board as the residing President and has been a board member for 6 years. Kent looks forward to continuing to contribute to make this a great community. Conservative by nature, his daily financial advice practice requires a careful balance for both short and long-term planning.
Sean McPherson: Sean has lived in Quail Valley Fund for 23 years, in the last year he has attended one board meeting. Sean has volunteered for Fort Bend Lawyers Core, Houston Volunteer Lawyers, Harris County Protective Services for Children and Adults, and Houston Lawyers Association. Sean believes the practice of law is as often collaborative as it is adversarial. Sean has 20 plus years’ experience in providing services to constituents.
Rick Meade: Rick has lived in Quail Valley for 30 years and attended 2 board meetings in the last year. Rick has volunteered at Thanksgiving and Christmas for Feed the Hungry and at St Laurence Catholic Church. Rick is currently retired and was VP of sales and marketing in the oil and gas industry, worked on several teams with specific goals to achieve. Rick has seen many changes and feels a new perspective can be positive and beneficial to all residents.
Michael Miller: Michael has lived in Quail Valley for 8 years and has not attended any meetings in the last year. Michael has been a volunteer mediator and practiced law for the last 15 years in Texas. Michael has many years’ experience in successfully managing brokers/dealers with numerous N.A.S.D. license. He is a former buyer & store manager at Foley’s and Macy’s. Michael believes that he can serve the community because he has many years of successful business experience and the practice of law. He cares deeply about the community of Quail Valley.
Max Montegut (Incumbent): Max has lived in Quail Valley for 17 years and has been a Quail Valley Fund Board member for the past 3 years and attended all of the HOA meetings. Max is a volunteer at the YMCA Houston Facilities Committee and Missouri City Construction Board of Adjustments and Appeals. Max has an MBA in Finance and Strategic Planning from Rice University, has been a VP & COO in commercial construction for over 25 years, managed operations with over $300 million in annual revenue, and directed development programs for national gaming and hospitality companies. Max has contributed to improving the financial position and covenant enforcement to the benefit of all FUND members. Max believes in this community and wants to continue to do so.
Kenneth Turner: Kenneth has lived in Quail Valley for 1 year and has not attended any meetings in the last year. Kenneth is a member of the Texas Principal Association and belongs to the Fort Bend Education Foundation. Kenneth has provided his time and educational experience to help support public education through Fort Bend and Alvin ISD. Kenneth believes he will be fair and honest in his approach to decision making and serving the community of Quail Valley. Kenneth has a MBA and two (2) graduate degrees in education which will provide a professional level of insight into working on teams to identify and solve issues.
Nathan Walker: Nathan has lived in Quail Valley for 21 years and attends all the HOA meetings. Retired from the insurance industry in 2019 where he worked for 59 years. Nathan has an MBA and was named to “Who’s Who”. Nathan has served on many volunteer committees, field tester for fishing equipment, and guest speaker for numerous insurance meetings. Nathan is an active member of Quail Valley Proud and Quail Valley Garden Club. Nathan believes he can be a valuable asset to the community through his work and personal experiences.
